A dress from the SS25 collection, crafted from two antique silk kimonos. The upper part, made from brilliant white silk, contrasts with the ivory-toned lower section, creating a subtle dialogue of contrasts, diversity, and the beauty of imperfection. A brooch on the chest is made from a fragment of the lining of one of the kimonos.
The asymmetrical cut and the slit at the neckline reference the Japanese kintsugi technique of ceramic restoration, where cracks become an integral part of the aesthetic. An open back and shoulders enhance the sense of fragility and delicacy of the look.
Two snap buttons allow the dress to be worn in two different lengths, transforming both the silhouette and the mood.
